Give Compassionately to Help Those in Greatest Need
Join us in providing lifesaving help and hope to people downtrodden by COVID-19, especially those living in desperation in the slums and leprosy colonies of Asia.
Compassion is a feeling of great concern and empathy for someone enduring misery and hardship, along with the compelling urge to help relieve their affliction.
Jesus saw the afflicted in their need—and He did something about it.
“And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.” —Matthew 14:14
The afflicted are still with us today.
In 2019, more than 202,000 people were diagnosed with leprosy. One in six people in South Asia are trying to survive on $1.90 a day or less. Among South Asia’s urban population, more than 3 in 10 people live in a slum, lacking either adequate living space, durable housing, improved water sources or improved sanitation. Their condition has only worsened with the pandemic-related lockdown.
