I was born into a nominal Christian family in India. As a family, we never had family prayer and devotion. Hence, from childhood, I never desired to study the Word.
As I grew up, my father used to come home drunk and quarreled with my mother. During this time, my mother fell sick and we took her to the hospital. After the checkups, doctors diagnosed it as appendicitis and told us that she needs an immediate operation. Hailing from the poor family, we did not have sufficient money for the operation. Thus, my mother became bedridden.
As days passed by, the Spirit of the Lord began to minister to me personally. A voice within me began to persuade me for prayer. Slowly my heart changed and I knelt before the Lord pleading for a miracle in my mother’s life. From then on, having trust upon the Lord, I prayed for her healing. To my amazement, within two weeks my mother got healing. This miracle in her life led me into the saving knowledge of Christ. While praying, I confessed my sins and received Jesus as my Savior.
Meanwhile, I had a desire to serve the Lord as well as I decided to dedicate my life for His ministry. While praying, He confirmed me of His calling. Eventually, with the help of my pastor I enrolled in a GFA Bible School.
