I was born December 9, 1992, in an orthodox Hindu family in India. Since we were staunch in our religious rites and rituals, we considered the deities as the source of all our blessings.
My father was a drunkard and he would constantly fight with us every evening and would make the atmosphere unpleasant. It was during this time, a Christian program was organized in our school. This program helped me know about Jesus Christ for the first time. From then on, I started to attend the church and Sunday school regularly. Gradually, the message that I got to listen from different speakers helped me develop a personal relationship with the Lord. Soon, I confessed my sins and received Jesus as my personal Savior.
When my parents came to know about my newfound faith, they opposed me many times. My parents even did not allow me to enter the house. Though I faced troubles and difficulties in life, I never denied Jesus and clung on to the promises of God in the Bible.
As I started spending more time in prayer and reading God’s Word, the Lord burdened my heart to win the lost. The call renewed my spirit and as I waited upon Him, He opened a way for me to join a GFA Bible School.
